Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital
Services
Signage • Wayfinding • Masterplanning • Donor Recognition
Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital (CVH) had one of the most multifaceted donor recognition programs that we have worked on to date. It included masterplanning and a myriad of physical donor elements for both the interior and exterior of this state of the art facility.
The donor program was vast and varied. With both exterior and interior applications, we carefully crafted a harmonious program with various scales and appearances to satisfy the fulfilment needs of their foundation.
The project included 3 distinct digital donor walls – a focal beacon in the main lobby, a campaign wall that also featured an updatable news feed, and a whimsical interactive installation for the maternity ward’s baby announcements.
In the maternity ward, a digital mobile was custom created for birth announcements, providing a soft entry into philanthropic giving. All elements of the mobile were hand drawn and modelled to create a one-of-a-kind centrepiece for the hospital.
As part of the program, an artful lighting installation was created for premiere level donors. These illuminated pillars create a clear beacon for the hospital both during the day and evening.

UJA Federation
Services
Signage • Wayfinding • Masterplanning • Donor Recognition
The UJA Sherman Campus was an expansion of the existing site. Forge was tasked with integrating donor recognition in the context of wayfinding masterplanning – an integral aspect for this organization.
Planning and managing many donor names applied to building and entrances required a holistic approach to the hierarchy of visibility.
The expectation was for a holistic site-wide program that honoured the donors, while seamlessly integrating with the wayfinding, all on a tight budget.
The program visually combines the architectural language, typeface and colour to create a donor experience that harmonizes with existing and new campus developments.
Future-proofing was also kept in mind, creating opportunities for further recognition that is both easy and inexpensive to implement.

CAMH
Services
Signage • Wayfinding • Placemaking • Masterplanning • Donor Recognition
Our approach to the CAMH project focused on seamlessly integrating into the architectural context and brand to strengthen the narrative of the organization’s values and commitment to their community.
Naming and donor fulfillment was integrated in all aspects of the wayfinding program, including pylons, exterior building signage, interior signage and wall graphics.
The concepts of ‘neighbourhood’ and ‘community health’ were guiding beacons for the development of hand-drawn placemaking graphics.
Ensuring integration of naming into wayfinding and a wide variety of donor fulfillment makes for a consistent and intuitive experience that minimizes stress and confusion across the campus.

Stella’s Place
Services
Signage • Wayfinding • Placemaking • Donor Recognition • Video Production
Donors are integral to the operation of Stella’s Place, whether they are donating their money, skills or time. It was important to show appreciation throughout their new headquarters.
The concept of ‘tapestry’, as it relates to community, was born out of our co-design workshops and this became a significant visual metaphor for the project.
The thread connected signage and donor recognition throughout the space, creating an intuitive way for participants to know what areas they were welcome in.
The digital donor wall was fully integrated into the heart of the café, building out from the architectural detailing and utilizing the same materials and colour palette.
We shot donor stories that allowed the participants to ‘meet’ the donors in a palpable way, as each shared their personal reason why they gave in a one-on-one with the viewer.
The custom video shoots were directed in house, being mindful to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable. We interviewed donors, founders, volunteers, staff, and participants.

Forge Media + Design were a pleasure to work with. This project exceeded my expectations of what is possible with donor recognition and placemaking and I’m so proud of the result. I am especially grateful for the process they used to co-design this project with our program participants, staff and board members. They really listened to our input and our voice is apparent throughout the space.
